Nightmare Dungeons

In this guide I will go over the Nightmare Dungeons - If you have special builds you think should be detailed here please reach out!

Nightmare Dungeons

The dungeon unlocks once you have reached the last level of the original version. These are, however, a little differnt in terms of ideal builds it seems. I will cover the best for each dungeon that I have seen (each dungeon so far seems best tackled by a different class) and detail breifly other builds for the other classes

Below are the items each reward

———

Nightmare Lamp Thief → Lamps→ Everyone

Nightmare Molten Ruins → Pal Tickets & Skill Tickets → Tamer & Mages

Nightmare Flame Temple → Rune Potions & Essence → Everyone

All Dungeons give Empowerment Gears also

Keys/Challenge Attempts

You get 2 keys per week and they cannot be carried across from week to week so it is best if you just use them
You can also buy 8 extra per week, I recommend you do as it’s extra resources and more Badge Shards

Nightmare Badge

You have a “Nightmare Badge” in the top left of the dungeons screen, you should get 1 level in there per week
Each dungeon has it’s own badge so you will want to progress the dungeon that has a good badge stat for you!

———

Nightmare Lamp Thief → Global Basic ATK DMG → Tanks

Nightmare Molten Ruins → Global Combo & Counter DMG → Plume & Warbringer

Nightmare Flame Temple → Pal DMG → Tamer

Nightmare Chrono Tower is expected next

Lamp Thief - Warbringer

This ‘boss’ is a pure HP tank. It is also NOT a boss so Boss DMG doesn’t work here

It comes with 150% Combo Res and -650% Counter Res. So it is already pretty well set up for Warbringers

From testing it is obvious Warbringer is the superior class vs this one(Even compared to Tamer) so the build I will share will be for Warbringer. If using either of the others go all out DPS and you can ignore Boss DMG

The Build

Pal Changes
Mecha Dragon can also be replaced for Toothpaste and Mellow Cloud as there is not much difference between these options

Item Changes
The best mount seems to be Drakelord however I don’t have it myself. You could use Empyria also depending what you have!

Avian Changes
The avian is just whichever Warbringer DPS avian you have (Ideally for Affixes I would have Rage Slash, The Middle Way, Rage Bonus and Reflect Counter since ATS doesn’t work)

Star Array Changes
For the Star Array you could use a few different options and Ainz would probably be slightly better than my Urchin

Guardian Changes
The Guardian isn’t too important if you have better remolds on Tide

Other
The rest pretty much needs to be what is shown for the most optimal, however if you are F2P or just a younger player there is some alternative choices!

Molten Ruins - Tamer

This is a series of 5 Dragons, like the original version. They are a standard boss

These come with 150% Combo Res, -650% Counter Res, high damage and lots of Ignore Evasion. This makes it a challenge as both Plume and Warbringer (Though there are builds for both), however if you have an adequate Tamer I have found this did best so this is the one I will go through

Plume Build Summary → Use Combo/Crit rates with Counter and Crit DMG and Empyria mount and slow build. Keep the boss at bay, use the Combo to triggers lots of Empyria and Counter DMG so Empyria is high dmg going through the negative Res!

Warbringer Build Summary → Using high Ignore Crit to remove the bosses heavy hits and use something regenerative such as Candelabrum Artifact to survive while you go through each boss

The Build

Relic Changes
You can also use Potent Spore instead however Chrono was doing a little better for me

Item Changes
I found these most optimal but you could change the back to Frost Mirage and the mount to a DPS mount (But you would need to put Rabbid pal in)

Other
The rest pretty much needs to be what is shown for the most optimal, however if you are F2P or just a younger player there is some alternative choices!

Flame Temple - Plume

This is a hard hitting boss that can reach you pretty quick

This comes with super higher DEF as you progress and Ignore Evasion. You can’t really stop this one hurting very easily which rules away Warbringer, and from my experience Plume seems better than Tamer here (Likely because no Res is being applied) however the method to complete it would be the same for a Tamer if you wish to go that route

The Build

Pal Changes
You could take off Rabbid if using Glory Glow

Item Changes
Glory Glow if you don’t have Rabbid and/or Snowman. You could also use DEF reducing mounts over Gator if they work better for you

Avian Changes
If you don’t have a good or any Genos then you may be better using a normal Avian however Genos has been needed for me

Star Array Changes
If you don’t have King you could use a passive array too. Passive can also work better than this depending on card levels

Other
