Event Reviews are compilations of mine and others thoughts from across the discord, if you believe any is wrong or have anything else to add please reach out!

The Forbidden Town Event was released on the 7th August 2026 and ended the 13th August 2026

It features 4 new items; Abyss Observer (Artifact), Hounds of Tindalos (Mount), Hastur (Pal), Special Existence (Costume)

The event itself was quite cool, I quite like the design and hope they continue to make actually good looking items, however I hope in future we will see good looking and useful merge together!

Abyss Observer - 1000 Spins - 10% Global ATK

Summary: Whenever an Enemy casts a skill you steal 4% (Up to 16%) ATK for 5s and all your skills recharge 0.4s faster

PVP: This is only really going to have much use in the case of your opponent casting skills fast, so Mages generally
However there are many much better items out there so I would just label it “Nothing Better” - Maybe useable for Mages/Vs Mages

PVE: It is of course useless here as your target doesn’t have skills

Hound of Tindalos - 500 Spins - 10% Global HP

Summary: Gain 10% DMG Res and periodically reduce opponents Type Res by 4% (Up to 24%)

PVP: For Tanks this has no use due to them not dealing any Type Res worth reducing - so the only thing is that 10% DMG Res which some F2P mounts would be better than!
For the other classes that DMG Res could be worth reducing but it would need to be a longer fight and a Cleanse or Immunity mount would need to be let go, so I would say Vs high Res Tanks that you don’t need Cleanse for it can be good if you also live long enough!

PVE: Bosses, as far as we are aware, don’t contain any Type Res (Nor do I think it can be made a negative) so this wouldn’t be useful - Only Nightmare Dungeons
Note: I did test just in case and it was about the same as not using a mount

Hastur

10% Evasion & 30% Boss DMG

PVP: If you use Evasion and somehow have a spare slot I would put this in else no way

PVE: Has good use both in Evasion PVE builds and normal builds where Boss DMG is useful
Keep in mind Boss DMG does lose it’s value vs other Event Pals as you get more of it, this is the same as Gingerbread so at around 240% Boss DMG I would take it off (unless using the Evasion or don’t have better Event Pals)
